Schneider, a local manufacturer of shoes and especially slippers was a major financial backer of the club and helped propel it to national relevance. The Eintracht Frankfurt was established over a century ago on March 8, 1899. They were one of the founding clubs in the Nordkreis-Liga ten years later in 1909.
